I go to Sabbot study at my local park. Then I chill outside and prep for my shift the next day.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Is it just me, or do people seem less vibrant today?
111·1 month agoNo, you are not wrong. The USA is being punished for her crimes. Capitalism is failing, Democracy is rearing its ugly side, traditional values are proving empty, religion is falling flat, race has its ugly side displayed for all to see, patriots cant relate to their national identity anymore. The USA is cannibalising itself. This makes it to where people are losing their future, desperately trying to keep what is familiar, and overall reaching a state of hopelessness/powerlessness.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What hill are you willing to die on even if no one in your life agrees with you?
17·7 months agoWhile many people do say that to simplify, the singular they has been in use for centuries. If you see a person’s silhouette in the distance and you want to talk about something that they did you will you they/them pronouns for them in most dialects of English.
So, my culture places a lot of emphasis on names because we believe that names effect the destiny of the named. So we usually create names that we think will bless our children in their future. Examples: Legacy, Radiance, Kiah (Strength), ect. If the name that has a good meaning does not sound like a name then we often make it a secret name and use a nickname based on it for their legal name. Example; if secret name is Malik (Monarch) legal name is Mal.
