What’s the worst that could happen, do you think?
I’ve actually widened a hat much like this one by heavily wetting it, fitting it on a larger, head-shaped object, then letting it dry. Even permanently turned up one of the side-brims to create a “slouch hat” / “digger hat” look.
Worked great and no complaints, but I’m also curious what might have gone wrong…

Great stuff, with a sort of dark, ‘Saturday Evening Post’ style. Also a nice throwback style to strips that went back to the 60’s and even 50’s.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t always work.
For example, I’ve had fairly good success upon a range of animal companions going back to early childhood, but a few years ago, I made the mistake of taking on a ‘problem cat’ from a family friend.
Such a beautiful creature, but she just couldn’t… settle down, I guess are the words. Now me, living with a terminal disease is already hard, but unfortunately, that rascal just turned it up to ‘11,’ bless her lil heart. So in the end, I had to donate her to a local no-kill shelter. Not my finest moment, but the lack of sleep was pretty-much the lynchpin, for me.
I love cats, but I just… haha, kinda got spooked hard by that experience.
Now imagine your life without the luxury of a pampered, beloved floof by your side?
Jokes aside, this is both great tribute and super-disrespectful.

Since we’re nitpicking, I’m not a fan of the googly eyes. At least if you’re going to do that, maybe shape them a tad bit more like their natural eyes. That way it’s less distracting, altho yes-- I get the idea that they’re “anxious animals.”

Ah no, I was just kind of amazed that such a device exists!
Oh, but when I looked it up, most models around here seem to go for US$200+, and IIRC there are only two non-prescrip models widely available in the States. Anyway, I’m a big fan of eating low-glycemic food, including limiting one’s carbs.
That’s really cool that you’ve found a way to help your friends like that. Over here, from what I’ve heard, it sounds like diabetes in SEA based on eating regular amounts of white rice is a real problem…

I have CFS/ME, or myalgic enchephalomyletus (sp?), also called “chronic fatigue syndrome,” pretty much a working umbrella-term for those with unexplainable, chronic fatigue.
Both drawn with almost the exact same figure (and face), of course.
I’m not really complaining, but I find this pretty common across comics, which is somehow kind of a let-down.
