Not exactly what you’re asking, as I was on reddit for many years. Never touched twitter tho, but nonetheless I’ve been really enjoying Mastodon

There’s this dude at the gym who watches netflix on his phone between sets, taking 10+ minute breaks while people wait in line to use the machine.
I normally try to be charitable about these things. I have no idea if he has some type of fatigue issue or something along those lines justifying the long breaks, right?
But I need to actively push my thoughts in this direction, in some probably misguided attempt to cultivate kindness within my own life. Truth is there’s just something infuriating about watching a movie while sitting in the building’s only leg extension
Yeah, I love it and actually prefer it to my old reddit experience for general browsing.
What isn’t quite there yet is the ability to like, sit down all day and scroll and post in a community dedicated to my current hyperfixation of the week. Be it guitar maintenance, some indie game, or whatever.
But reddit also didn’t have that when I started using it. Excited to hang here and watch the garden grow
I use both at the same desk. I even use the same (windows layout) keyboard on both, and somehow I’m even able to reflexively remember to switch which hotkeys I use, such as win+c and win+v instead of ctrl+c and ctrl+v for copy/paste. I did eventually have to switch the default scroll direction for my mouse wheel though, those being different was just too much lol
Oh now I see what you’re saying, thanks. Yeah I thought maybe there was something about showering I’d been overlooking all these years lol
I’ve been looking into some smart lights!
But I’m a bit confused, what do you use them for in the shower?
External* testicles are legit really cool though, they change their distance from your body to regulate temperature
*they also can and will retract all the way inside your body if it’s cold enough
For salt I just grabbed a small diner style salt shaker, it’s really cute and makes it easy to control portions
A nice pepper grinder! Makes every meal better
Baseball cap! Been getting more into them lately after never really wearing hats. I started because a friend said they’re useful for hiking, but after getting compliments I started just wearing them in general as well.
Baba is you. Every couple months I’ll take a crack at it, maybe solve 1 or 2 more screens, get stuck again. Love the soundtrack

Here is a link based more on nutrition
The short version is that saturated fats generally have a negative effect on cholesterol, and the recommendation is to limit your intake. They’re popular because they’re found in many animal products, and have useful properties (such as often being solid at room temperature, like butter)
Then unsaturated fats are pretty much the opposite, whether poly or mono unsaturated. They have a generally positive effect on health. Use these when possible.
Most sources of fats are a blend of the different types, so don’t worry excessive about it.
Oh and then trans fats are the worst for you by far and are banned from sale in many places, although you can actually create them in your own kitchen I believe via some methods of deep frying
That’s where I’m at as well. Could go so many different ways; how do I know someone is intelligent? Do their conversations feel particularly deep to me? Do they invest their money well? Good at memorizing baseball facts?
At a certain point yeah, obviously if they just have wind blowing around inside their head it’s unlikely that I would find them desirable as a partner. So in a way it is very important to me. But the vast majority of people are capable of nurturing loving and rewarding relationships rooted in who they are as a whole, whether or not they are remarkably intelligent. So in another way it’s not important at all
I wish musicians actually got paid lol
Plus extremely boring, because you’re not doing anything remotely sounding graceful
It’s something every single musician has to go through.
Actually it’s something everyone has to go through when learning anything.
Would you also quit learning a second language because you can’t immediately have a full conversation with a native speaker? Quit working out because you don’t start with the ability to do pull-ups? Quit any game you try if you don’t win your first match?
The excitement is in seeing yourself progress from the point of being a complete beginner. You are depriving yourself of a great joy by abandoning the project at the first sign of any friction
Fair enough, yeah I’ll check back in on the thread too in case someone knows what it is. Very intriguing symptom
I have never experienced anything like this. Personally I would ask my doctor about it immediately, it sounds very outlandish, walking should not lead to pulsating of any kind
As graceful an exit as any troll can hope for. Cheers to you as well
I have already abundantly shared my understanding and specifically addressed your concerns. Now it is clear that you simply like arguing and care little about what is being discussed.
I think we are likely beyond the point of productivity, but the ‘scientific method’ isn’t capitalized btw. This error is perfectly emblematic of the error in your thought process as a whole
It matters somewhat, in that you may be able to sync things between mobile and desktop if you use the ios version of your desktop browser
