I thought the dems could save us in 2016. I then believed they would save us in 2020. The last chance I gave them was 2024.

Ill vote in their direction only in the hopes they can hit the brakes but, overall, they prove again and again they enable this shit and take no interest in stopping it.

I have been voting against Republicans for nearly 30 years and still have yet to see Dems hit the brakes. They do let off the gas some of the time, and since they are the only ones who have a chance of winning they get the vote by default.

If voting wasn’t so quick and easy where I live it would be difficult to convince myself to put in the effort. It should be this easy everywhere.

That’s why you gotta primary out the ones that don’t actually do their job. Like if it’s too late to primary one out then yeah vote for the dem over the overt fascist but that’s a last resort. If you have the time, check and see if any actually good candidates are running in the primaries and see if you can volunteer and help them out with their campaign. Obviously not everyone has the time or ability, but every little bit helps if you can

You guys are so delusional. You could replace every sitting Dem in congress right now with your hand picked candidates, and literally NOTHING would be different. How many times does this need to be said, YOU NEED 60 VOTES IN THE SENATE! Without 60 votes, you’re not getting transformative change. You can thank your red state voters for that.

You need 51 votes. The 60 is a self made rule they can change, just like the filibuster.

            =/ I get that.

The problem i diagnose is the democrats dont care to go after 60 seats. They are all too happy fighting over a plurality and maintaining the status quo. Its not inspired and will only ever edge you out wins as you fight over the same demographics that all hate you.

I understand that, and I agree. We do need Dems in Congress that will always push for progressive legislation and fight back against conservative nonsense. The issue is, there’s a vast amount of people in this country that want to do the opposite, and in most cases, we’re outnumbered in that regard. You have to VOTE, we have to WIN! Even a moderate Democrat can be pushed towards progressive reform. A conservative Republican will never.

Biden’s BBB was 2 votes away from becoming a reality, unfortunately, it failed. But 10 years prior to that in 2011, it might’ve been 6-9 votes away. WERE MAKING PROGRESS. But everytime republicans gain control, our progress is put on hold or reversed. We can’t allow them to keep winnning.
