Nothing prevents it, all you have to do is run the following commands (as root): transactional-update shell zypper in -t pattern yast2_desktop zypper in firewalld yast2-firewall yast2-control-center-qt (not all of the packages I listed are strictly needed - you don’t need the qt package if you’re fine with using the TUI interface for YaST; you really don’t even need YaST and can use firewall-cmd if you really want to) Then you need to enable the firewall: systemctl enable firewalld Reboot, ...

Linux is a family of open source Unix-like operating systems based on the Linux kernel, an operating system kernel first released on September 17, 1991 by Linus Torvalds. Linux is typically packaged in a Linux distribution (or distro for short).

Distributions include the Linux kernel and supporting system software and libraries, many of which are provided by the GNU Project. Many Linux distributions use the word “Linux” in their name, but the Free Software Foundation uses the name GNU/Linux to emphasize the importance of GNU software, causing some controversy.
