True!
I don’t think so. Probably not. It’s a classical argument when starting a war (Germany/WW1 and Japan/WW2), that’s why I brought it up.
I.e. if you believe there is a very high risk for war at SOME point, then you probably want to take control of the situation and start the war at a time and place of your choice. If you can destroy 90% of NKs ICMBs (or other kinds of carriers) today, it’s better to start the war now, if the new technology will bring that number down to say 50% by tomorrow.
The conspiracy theorist in me says that it’s not impossible that the recent coup attempt in SK was somehow related to this kind of thinking. This is how the military tend to reason after all.

Maybe you could move abroad? Canada or the EU? I.e. some western country with a better welfare system. If you don’t have friends or family, that might be an option. And if you’re healthy enough.
I guess the counter argument would be that the situation will only get worse the longer you wait. That argument has been used many times in history.
That’s an argument I don’t agree with. I believe the perceived risks of nuclear fallout is negligible in most cases. Especially when talking tactical nukes. For sure a risk North Korea (or Russia) would be willing to take.
Isn’t it possible that China will find this situation intolerable as well? I find it quite likely that North Korea will change its attitude towards China if balls grow too big. Make demands etc.
I agree. But hopefully I’ll learn some educated arguments by asking this.
Use markdown instead.
Maybe better to recommend Doom Emacs, if no BS is a requirement. It takes time to make friends with vanilla Emacs.
Well, then just change the question. Should it be legal?
Well, my guess is that there wouldn’t have been a WW1 if nukes were present. Also, there wouldn’t have been a WW1 (as we know it) if pre-war leaders had known it would be a trench war of attrition.
Also, WW3 would probably have been a reality if nukes weren’t present.
I love how all these elitist fucktards are dismissing the countless number of people who claim that LLMs help them with their daily tasks.
I wonder if they also tell people wearing eyeglasses to stop cheating and learn how to appreciate the tools that was given to them by God… After all, these people probably also tried wearing eyeglasses and found them useless and limiting.
It has replaced Google for me. Or rather, first I use the LLM (Mistral Large or Claude) and then I use Google or specific documentation as a complement. I use LLMs for scripting (it almost always gets it right) and programming assistance (it’s awesome when working with a language you’re not comfortable with, or when writing boilerplate).
It’s just a really powerful tool that is getting more powerful every other week. The ones who differs simply hasn’t tried enough, are superhumans or (more likely) need to get out of their comfort zone.
Good timing. https://youtu.be/xSnZLWjOkHU
I believe that with the new US administration (and US popular opinion), one could go from good terms to bad over night. I would not trust that the US adhere to article 5 if things become serious for real. Why should they start a nuclear war just because their semi-friend forces itself upon a woke central European country? Things were completely different during the cold War.
Best thing you can do is to not fucking participate.
What if that’s not an option? It could for sure be rational for a violent actor to force it’s will on a non-voilent one. One only needs one rotten apple and the Nash equilibrium dissolves.
Fair point.
It’s much more powerful though. Based on Org-Mode.
