I don’t see a reason to use Windows for gaming if you don’t play games with anticheat. I have a 9070XT so it just works with Linux. Left Nvidia and Linux is much happier.
I’ve used Ubuntu for years and it’s easy to install and widely supports all the things I need. Bazzite is also a great option. I’ve never been interested in Arch and SteamOS just came out for desktop so I’d rather not be an early adopter when Bazzite is already ironed out and waiting to be installed.
Love steamOS on my deck, but see no use for it on my Desktop atm.
Windows 11 is actually spyware garbage and I won’t have it in my house.
Sit at home on my Japanese toilet with a heated seat, stand everywhere else. Heated toilet seat is blissful.

21·3 days agoDude when the TV is on the Home Screen is blank. Unless I select an Input to a device the TV is useless. You really thought I meant when the screen is off? I think you have some literacy problems.
Not every comment needs to be some IT explanation, go back to your help desk job, thanks.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Why in America is .08 the legal limit for drunk driving? How come it's not an even 0.10? Who decided at what level being drunk starts? Then 4 beers of 12oz's is 0.08 why is it that small?
61·3 days agoThere are zero health benefits from alcohol that outweigh the drawbacks. As someone in medical, your comment is outdated misinformation people use to rationalize their drinking.
I like whiskey but I am not under the guise that it is anyway helpful to my body.

2·3 days agoOh man I always wanted an HTC one M8, such a badass phone back in the day.
I was mainly on XDA for the HTC Incredible and then eventually the HTC Resound. It wasn’t until after I got a Pixel phone that I stopped flashing ROMs.
After seeing some comments on this thread about GraphineOS it has my interest piqued. It would be hard to leave Apple now that I am thoroughly entrenched in the ecosystem though. There really isn’t anything else like it. I remember I yearned for Google to get their ecosystem act together for years, but alas they kill more products than they keep.

2·3 days agoI think this is a bit much. It’s not that deep. Not everything is some crazy conspiracy. Also if it was connected to the internet you better believe the screen would be plastered with ads trying to make money off of me. It’s blank therefore not connected.

5·3 days agoThe PS5 is my last Sony device. I’ve even considered selling it because I don’t want to give them any revenue from future digital purchases.
They suck and they’re actively ruining physical media gaming.

3·3 days agoI think this is the only way I’d go back to Android. Google is hostile spyware at this point. I’m interested in GrapheneOS.

9·3 days agoWe don’t connect our LG “smart” TV to the internet because “smart” just means advert box. It’s been a much more pleasant experience just using our consoles to control the TV.

41·3 days agoDude I hope my 16 Pro Max lasts that long. I only got it after breaking my 13 Pro Max. I’d never cracked screen in my 15 years of smartphone ownership. That blue variant was gorgeous and it would have lasted another 3 years easily.
I’m sure you and I were on the same XDA forums back in the day. I still have my old LG G3 with Lineage OS on it. I’ll always miss that era of Android. Wacky new features all the time on ROM, only for Google to integrate them in the main OS down the line.

Thank you. It’s all in the time of day and lighting conditions.
Hybrid Theory
Every time I hear Dumpweed from the start of that live album I am so happy. It’s played faster and with so much enthusiasm.
Hits the dopamine receptors just right.
Sounds a lot like the US. Homelessness is a problem without a solution that can be monetized. The only answer the government has is to completely eradicate any social comforts like park benches, public transit, or third places that don’t require you to buy a coffee to just sit and wait.
God forbid someone sleeps on a park bench because then the city will install anti-homeless chairs that are so uncomfortable nobody sits in them anyways.
But what can I say, richest country in the world or something.
Thank you, it’s a basic shot but I thought it turned out. I enjoy photos of the monotony.

Dang that’s a bummer. Wish it wasn’t that way for that card.
