Exactly, Jim Jeffries had a hilarious bit about it but that gave anyone who heard it the wrong idea about secure storage.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What are the most sentimental items to you and why?
1·9 小时前An M1911A1 used in world war two. My grandfather passed it down to me before he died. He wasn’t the one using it, he was too young. But, it was given to him by a client as a form of payment (legally). He treasured it and eventually gave it to me. I don’t shoot it much but I do like to clean it. Eventually I’ll get a cool display with lights and stuff. It’s cool, a combination of sentimental value and historical relevance. I’ll never sell it and if I have kids I’ll pass it down.
Thats only true if you have kids. There are no federal requirements for how you store your guns when not in use. If you dont have kids or strangers around, you can keep things like pistols on wall racks, loaded and ready to go. I for example, live way out in the sticks. If I call the cops, it takes a minimum of 20 minutes before anyone gets here. My nearest neighbors are also a couple miles away. So, if someone breaks in I have a 20 minute window with zero help. Call 911, then call .357

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What Youtube channel has maintained high quality standards over the years?
1·11 小时前TheinfographicsShow channel is consistently good, entertaining and educational.
“Forced” is where I’d disagree. In cases of trafficking/extenuating circumstance sure. But, I dont think sex work is the ONLY way many of the workers could earn a living.
Idk, if some 22 year old woman has an OF and happily posts to it because she wants to, I dont see how thats unethical.
I disagree completely
Wholesome huh?
Id tend to agree
Classic gooner
I totally agree with the tools angle.

Correct, so why even consider relying on them in the first place.
